Summit Music has been presenting outreach concerts and events to audiences throughout Minnesota since 2011. Founded by violinist Natalie VanBurkleo-Carbonara, the organization originally started as a music series. Now in its 10th Season, the organization is a hub for educational opportunities for music students, music outreach in senior communities and innovative community concerts. Summit Music aims to connect people from all walks of life through music.

Summit Young Artist Concerts were started to give student musicians a solo and ensemble performance outlet in beautiful settings. To date, over 160 student musicians have performed in the concerts at venues around the Twin Cities. As an inclusive, nurturing, non-competitive event, the concerts are a great way for student musicians up to age 18 from any music studio to get out into the community to perform.

New in 2018-2019, Summit Music Series expanded after implementing a first Residency in a Senior Living Community. Summit Senior Music Programming will be a music hub for senior living staff to have easy access to regular, unique concerts- professional and volunteer- for residents. Senior communities can choose from a Summit Music Series Residency that provides a set of 4+ concerts each season OR a la carte programming that fits their needs.
In 2020-21, our senior outreach programs adapted to the pandemic to offer our now well known Parking Lot Concerts for Seniors which can be booked year-round and our educational outreach Winter Master Classes on Zoom.
